Light to moderate snow today

Light to moderate snow is falling right now. It will continue at the same rate for most of the day, becoming briefly heavy at times this afternoon and evening. It will still be snowing during the evening commute, but the steadiest snow will shift east of the Susquehanna River. Snow will gradually taper from west to east late tonight, ending in easternmost counties by 2 or 3 AM. 

Most areas will receive a few inches of snow. 2-4" is likely in most of our major cities. Higher totals, between greater than 4-6" may fall in areas south of Rt. 30 toward the PA/MD line. 

Wednesday will still feature some snow showers, but they'll be coming from the Great Lakes. As cold air pours across the warmer lakes, scattered snow showers may make it into the Susquehanna Valley, especially north and west of Harrisburg. Expect little to no accumulation with highs around 34 degrees. It will be breezy, with sustained winds 10-20 mph.

Cold air arrives Thursday and Friday. Flurries are possible both days with highs in the mid-20s. Overnight lows will dip to the mid-to-lower teens. 

A secondary surge of even COLDER air arrives this weekend! Highs will struggle to reach the low 20s with overnight lows in the single digits. Wind chills will be bitterly cold, well below zero Saturday night into Sunday.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Blustery and cold. Flurries possible. High: 26. Winds: NW 10-20 mph
